Welcome to my website! I am a paralegal in a small law office in California, but my first love is creative writing. I often take the "what if" situations of my life and weave words into stories I think others might relate to and enjoy. After a few recent publications and a drawer full of rejections, I no longer dream of becoming the great American writer. My dream is to sit down every day and write from a place of truth. Every story I write is based on something that has happened in my life, or is a part of my truth.
The first rule of writing is to sit down and write. The second rule is to write what I know. The combination of the two is- write like it is.
I admire those who make a living writing, because they have plenty of wisdom to share. I also admire those who, like me, write their hearts out and randomly submit. Writers are a diverse group, but we share a special camaraderie no matter our level of expertise.
I hope you will feel comfortable enough to pull up a chair and have a cup of coffee or tea, maybe a chocolate chip cookie or a macaroon. There is plenty of room for us all.
